About Kate

I am a gender expert who works to change harmful social norms through writing, training and facilitation. I have 20+ years of experience working in the international development sector, writing and delivering curricula in over 20 countries in a range of issues: gender equality, women’s empowerment, healthy masculinity, women’s economic participation, HIV prevention, and early and forced childhood marriage. For years I’ve wanted to bridge my international work with my personal life, and address gender inequality in the United States. So I am very excited for my debut book, Equal Partners, which looks at gender imbalances in our personal life — and what we can do about it.
